Don Gomez R.I.P.
"Don Gomez was a tracker/searcher/adviser with Multnomah County Search & Rescue. Long time volunteer with the program - about 12-15 years. All of our kids are or have been involved in SAR and knew him well. They were on their first training outing weekend of the year - on a night training hike he suddenly collapsed, seized, and never recovered. Understandably, they are all taking it pretty hard. The sherrif's office is giving him a proper service - sounds like with an honor team and piper. We would sure appreciate it if you could be there. I plan on attending."
